Legacy.com Adds Seven New Affiliates in January 2002;
Introduces New Value-Added Services

Company Hosts Obituary Sites for Leading Newspapers in 9 of 10 Largest U.S. Markets; Reaches More Than 1 Million Visitors a Month

EVANSTON, Ill., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Legacy.com, an interactive media company that provides innovative, online obituary services to newspapers, added seven new affiliates in January, including the Houston Chronicle, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and The Sacramento Bee.

The obituary sites hosted by Legacy.com for its newspaper affiliates have become increasingly popular, attracting more than 1 million monthly visitors. More than 50,000 entries are posted in Legacy.com-powered guest books each month.

Other new Legacy.com affiliates include: The Charlotte Observer, Daily Herald (Chicago suburban), The Record (North Jersey), and St. Paul Pioneer Press. With the addition of these affiliates, Legacy.com provides services for newspapers in nine of the 10 largest U.S. markets, and more than 40 markets in total.

The service is currently being test-marketed at Legacy.com's three Chicago newspaper affiliates. A national rollout is scheduled for April.
