Celarix Names Robert J. Wesley Chief Marketing Officer
Former American Express Executive To Drive Customer-Centric
Service Strategy
Boston, MA - April 18, 2000 - Celarix, Inc., the leading
provider of web-based transportation procurement and
logistics management services, today announced the appointment
of Robert J. Wesley as chief marketing officer. Wesley joins
the executive management team to lead and expand global
marketing, investor relations, product development and
product strategy with a customer-centric approach.

Wesley comes to Celarix with more than 20 years of executive
management experience in building major brands around
the globe. He has led the business strategy, product
development and marketing efforts of significant brands,
including American Express and Mastercard International.

During his 18-year career at American Express, he launched
businesses and joint ventures in Asia, Latin American,
Europe and the United States. He also led several major
marketing and sales efforts targeting both businesses and
consumers, resulting in significant increases in market share.
At Mastercard, Wesley directed global product marketing
and was responsible for developing and launching numerous
products. He most recently served as head of marketing
operations and technology, and chief financial officer for
the alliance marketing division of Cendant Corporation,
a leader in direct response and Internet marketing.
Wesley holds a master's degree in business administration
from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in accounting
from Boston College. He also has received a distinguished
honor from Queen Elizabeth for assistance in developing
the Tourism Marketing Strategy for New Zealand.
