Alerts and Portal Toolbar Make Business Resources
Readily Available and Encourage Greater Intranet
Activity
BURLINGAME
October 8, 2002 AtHoc, Inc, a leading
provider of enterprise-class communications and
alerting software today announced that Juniper
Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider
of trusted infrastructures for the New Public
Network, successfully deployed AtHoc Active
Portal. Juniper Networks is using AtHoc Active
Portal to increase employee usage of e-business
applications and web-based services and to provide
a standard communications platform across the
company.
AtHocs
software increases usage of the Juniper Networks
Intranet by making valuable online services and
content always available via a dynamic portal
toolbar that plugs into the end-users browser
and by alerting employees of key corporate and
group communications. AtHocs software enables
employees to receive important alerts and have
immediate access to online services through the
toolbar even after employees leave the Juniper
Networks Intranet for other applications or Web
sites.
In
the first month of use, we are clearly seeing
early adoption and usage, said Kim Perdikou,
CIO Juniper Networks. The Juniper Networks
Toolbar is providing employees with short cut
access to their most frequently used Intranet
resources, thus contributing to greater usage
of the Intranet. The feedback shows our employees
appreciate and value the toolbar. In addition,
AtHocs administration and reporting tools
make it easy to track activity and respond to
growth in the Intranet usage.?
We
are delighted by the employee response to the
Juniper Networks Toolbar, said Guy Miasnik,
CEO of AtHoc. By extending the reach of
the Juniper Networks Intranet and providing personalized
communication channels, AtHocs software
is encouraging greater employee usage of the Intranet
and thereby adding to the Intranets success.
The
AtHoc Active Portal for Juniper Networks is comprised
of a dynamic Portal Toolbar, Enterprise Alerts
System, and Management System.
