today announce a strategic alliance to integrate
Factivas product offerings with AtHoc Active
Portal 4.0. Factiva, the global leader in delivering

their strengths to address the markets need
for alerting users to current and personalized
news and business informationeven when employees
have left their intranet environments. The Factiva-AtHoc
solution ensures knowledge workers operating in
a real-time enterprise setting are notified of
critical business content on an ongoing basis,
and empowers employees to make better, swifter
business decisions that will positively impact
a companys bottom line.
Under
the agreement, AtHocs Portal Toolbar and
desktop alerts enable customers to proactively
deliver Factivas dynamically updated global
news and business information in a timely manner.
Factiva products, such as Factiva Search Module
and Factiva Track Module, are embedded into AtHocs
Portal Toolbar, which resides in the users
browser toolbar. The joint solution clearly notifies
users to new content matching their requests via
highlighted buttons representing a specific Factiva
content folder or by desktop alert pop-up. Clicking
on the highlighted button or alert pop-up takes
the user directly to the Factiva content page
to read more.
