in 1998, venture-backed HighWired.com
provides free Web-publishing tools for the five major
areas of high school life; classrooms, activities,
newspapers, guidance and sports. HighWired.com provides
high schools within its network with easy-to-use
interactive products that allow students, teachers,
advisers, guidance counselors and coaches to participate
in a collaborative online learning experience.
HighWired.com partners with leading educational organizations
to provide the highest quality products and services
enabling the company to house the largest online
international network of high schools. To date, the
network includes over 12,000 schools in all 50
U.S. states and 64 foreign countries. HighWired.com
is headquartered in Watertown, Mass.
Highwired.Com
allows students to customize their online newspaper's
look and feel including personalization of the masthead,
motto, image library, and background. The system
also empowers schools to control the entire process.

The
Company's products haves been adopted district-wide
by both the New York City and Chicago public school
systems. The Company has also implemented partnerships
with The New York Times, Lycos, Family Education
Network, The Learning Channel and many other top tier

The
target market for the Highwired.Com system is 20,000
high schools in the U.S. representing over 13
million students. There is a well-documented desire
from Internet advertisers to reach a pure teen
demographic. The Company's objective is to be a primary
Internet destination for high school students,
which will result in one of the largest concentration
of teenagers on the web.
Highwired
Network, Inc. has raised over $30 million in four
rounds of financing. Primary investors include
North Bridge Venture Partners III and Charles River
Ventures, Broadband Ventures, Haebler Ventures Group,

was born in an entrepreneurship class at the F.W.
Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College during
the Fall of 1997. The founders created, incorporated,
financed, and launched the business all while
