Vernon Shields - Biography

Vernon Shields is as an analyst and advisor for Spirit Enterprise's new business development. Vernon's role with Spirit Enterprise is to seek out early-stage investment opportunities in the US and globally. A Los Angeles native, Vernon matriculated through the California Catholic school system before earning his BA in Engineering and MA in Economics from the University of California. He dabbled a bit in California's banking industry before signing up with an IT firm in Northern California to develop software for the international banking industry. Vernon moved to Illinois in 1994 to earn his MBA, and realized his real interests lay in assisting start-up companies formulate business concepts and acquire capital support. As our man in Chicago, Vernon is adept at unearthing potential business ventures for early-stage investment opportunities. Vernon lives in Chicago where he is active in Junior Achievement. His interests include film, distance running, history and Shakespeare (and, fortunately for us all, not the Chicago Bears).
